Letters Patent of 8 November 2009

To Our most loyal and noble Subjects and trusty Counsellors the Lords and Our most loyal Subjects and trusty Counsellors the Commons in this Our present Parliament assembled, We Maximilian, King of Æfira and of Our other Realms and Territories, send Greeting!

Whereas you have approved a Bill to establish a Friendship Feast as a national holiday of Æfira, and have presented the same to Us for Our Royal Assent, and whereas the said Bill is not of force and effect in Law without Our said Assent, and whereas We cannot at this time be personally present in the Houses of Our said Parliament to signify Our said Assent to the said Bill:

Know ye that We do by these Presents give Our Royal Assent to the said Bill, and grant that it shall henceforth be an Act of Parliament, and shall be of the same force and effect as if We had been personally present in the said Houses and had publicly and in your presence assented to the same.

And We furthermore command Our most loyal, noble and learned Subject and trusty Counsellor Lachlan Johnson, Baron Lendray, Lord High Chancellor of Æfira, to seal the said Act with the Great Seal of this Realm, and command the Clerks of Our said Parliament to endorse and record the said Act in manner accustomed.
