Æfira Act 2007

1 Max. c. 8

An Act to Provide for the Alteration of the Style and Title of this Realm and of His Majesty.

[]

Whereas this most noble Realm has at present no formal style or title, and whereas experience has shown that the lack of such style or title is detrimental to the state and government of the said Realm, and whereas the King’s Majesty has indicated His desire that formal styles and titles be adopted by which the said Realm and His said Majesty may be known:

Be it therefore enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Temporal and Spiritual in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1.  This most noble Realm shall hereafter be known as and styled the Kingdom of Æfira, and the Parliament of the said Realm shall hereafter be known as and styled the Parliament of the Kingdom of Æfira.
2.  His Majesty’s Royal style and titles shall be such as He may, by letters patent under the Great Seal of the Realm, from time to time appoint.
3.  In every Act, Proclamation and public document made prior to the enactment of this Act, the expression “this Realm” or “this most noble Realm” shall refer to the Kingdom of Æfira.
4.  This Act may be cited as the Æfira Act 2007.
