An Act to consolidate and amend the laws relating to public holidays.

Be it enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1. Public holidays
(1) The days specified in the Schedule shall be public holidays in the Kingdom of Æfira.
(2) His Majesty may by letters patent appoint additional days to be public holidays.
2. Amendments and repeals
(1) The National Holiday Act 2008, the King’s Birthday Act 2009 and the Friendship Feast Act 2009 are repealed.
(2) In section 1 of part VII of the Freedom of Information Act 2008, for “day which has been designated a national holiday by” there is substituted “public holiday under any”.
3. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Public Holidays Act 2016.Schedule
