An Act to provide for the resignation of seats in the House of Commons.

Be it enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1. Any Member of Parliament may, by delivering to the Speaker of the House of Commons a letter according to the form in the Schedule to this Act, and signed by the Member, resign his seat, which shall thereupon fall vacant.
3. This Act may be cited as the House of Commons Resignation Act 2009.

I, N.N., a Member of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Æfira, in pursuance of the provisions of the House of Commons Resignation Act 2009, hereby resign my seat in the House of Commons.
