An Act to regulate the use of portable laser devices.

Be it enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. The gratuitous use of a laser pointer or other portable laser device is hereby prohibited.

2. Any person who uses a laser pointer or other portable laser device in violation of section 1 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

3. This Act may be cited as the Lasers Act 2009.
