His Majesty’s Stationery Office Sign in

Parliament Act 2008

1 & 2 Max. c. 2

An Act to Make Provision for the Restoration of the House of Commons, and for the Election of Members to the Same, and for Related Purposes.

[]

Whereas the Parliament of the Kingdom of Æfira consists at present of but one House, in contravention of custom and tradition, and whereas the principles of freedom and good governance demand that all people of a nation ought to be represented in their government, and have, through their democratically elected deputies, a voice in the Parliament of their nation:

Be it therefore enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Temporal and Spiritual in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

5.  His Majesty may by Letters Patent appoint a Secretary of State for Elections and an Under-Secretary of State for Elections.
13.  This Act may be cited as the Parliament Act 2008.
